No real surprises, but I'm scared! "Invictus" did well, no Cotillard, no DDL. On the good side: lots of "Inglourious Basterds" love, which bodes well for the film's Oscar chances (I hope). Great to see Streep in the list, I hate to call locks this early (well, not really), but can anyone really beat her come Oscar time? I'm, of course, thrilled, but having seen "Julie & Julia" earlier this week, I genuinely wish she could be up for a more . . . substantive performance.

I agree on Streep's Julia Child performance. It was cute, and the food made me kinda hungry, so yeah... I wish she'd win for a more substantial role.

I'm supporting Carey Mulligan this season though xD She was one of my 20 picks of actors between 20-25 to watch... so i'd be thrilled if she wins the oscar.

Awards Daily is putting Tucci as a front runner (considering the push for Julie & Julia), how does that sound for Waltz and Basterds?

I'm also not convinced on Invictus.
