That was just great.
"Coming soon: Cemetery Junction with chuckles here."
hahahaha
And Ralph Fiennes definitely has comedic talent: In Bruges! He made me laugh so hard in that film.
I love Ricky and Steve, I love them together especially, it's a FANTASTIC cast (Ricky, Ralph, Emily Watson, Matthew Goode...) and I'm really interesting to see how their venture into the dramatic (the dramedy?) fares.
I actually think that their collaborations are mostly "dramedy" already. True, there are flat out hysterical, straight comedy episodes of Extras and The Office, but then there are those emotional moments that just rip your heart out in each series (especially in their respective finales). It's a fine balance, but they do it beautifully.
That's definitely true, DP. I'm just sort of intrigued by the project, based on what Ricky's written on his blog. He's said there will be more drama than previous projects -- I think he's described it as a cross between The Office and Mad Men.
Sounds like heaven to me. I can't wait.

This is why they're brilliant and so much else is...well...ass.
Fiennes can totally be funny, which makes this bit even funnier. He obviously has an ability to poke fun at his own image which is 75% of the way to being funny if you ask me.
Oh absolutely. I love it that he doesn't take himself too seriously.
And what was it Mitch Hurwitz said about David Cross? Part of the reason he's so funny is because he doesn't mind looking stupid, or something like that. It's key in comedy.
They just say that so those of us who routinely look stupid have something to shoot for.e
