I want this to be awesome, and the clip gives me hope.
But let me say this, I could've done without terminally chirpy Mary Hart piping in through voiceover every 15 seconds.
You know, I'm not a violent person, but I would like to punch everyone on ET, Extra and Insider in the neck.
HOLY. SHIT. BIG UP to you, K for this!
LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT.
Nina Simone singing "Wild is the Wind"? Fucking awesome choice.
I'm hyperventilating...
It looks like it features two great performances by two of the best young actors in the business. Plus, some of those shots look absolutely gorgeous.
I was really excited before, and now I'm even MORE excited.
I'm with both of you -- Craig and Dorothy. ET needs to just air the trailer (not EVERYTHING needs commentary!) and this sneak peek just got me even more amped up.
The thing is, this clip was so good, it kind of drowned Mary out, which isn't easy to do.
I know we're split on Changeling, but we agree on Milk and Revolutionary Road and Doubt, right?
Absolutely, Craig!
I sort of was iffy about Doubt (I'm not too familiar with the play, and the plot sounded a little stuffy), but it really looks fascinating.
Milk and Revolutionary Road have been on the top of my list for a long while, along with The Reader.
I'm on board for all of those.
I guess I'm inclined to agree with those who don't think this year is looking quite as good as last year, it's hard to argue with the No Country/There Will Be Blood one-two punch, but damn there's some good looking stuff coming up and we haven't even mentioned Benjamin Button or Che.
Sigh. Newsflash: I love movies
This is a terrific clip of a film I didn't originally give much hope for. Let's hope it portends good things.
Did I ever say how much I love Dorothy's moniker with the PERSONA still? Bergman is my favorite of all directors.
Sam, you have EXCELLENT taste. I adore Bergman. We're a small but passionate set of admirers, and that's why I value him all the more. Aside from getting called pretentious for liking him, I usually just get blank looks whenever I mention any of his works. What are your favorite Bergman films? I haven't seen all of them, but the ones I love I've purchased and studied for years. Among my faves are: Hour of the Wolf, Cries and Whispers, Fanny and Alexander, The Silence, The Virgin Spring, The Seventh Seal, and of course: Persona!
