I'm not quite sure how I missed this, but three of my favorite people attended Comic-Con 2008 this past week: Benicio del Toro, Emily Blunt, and make-up master Rick Baker were in tow to promote "The Wolfman," a remake of Lon Chaney's 1941 classic. They brought along some clips, including the first trailer, which you can view here (before it gets pulled); the quality is bad, but what can you expect:
Honest reaction? I can't see shit. But it sounds exciting I guess. So I'll reserve any comments until a clear picture emerges.
I also had to share a highlight from the conference where the three gifted individuals reveal their reasons for taking part in "The Wolfman."
And here's a Blunt-specific highlight:
The highlight of the panel (in which some footage was shown) was when a set of twins stood up to ask a question and were projected on the giant auditorium monitors. Blunt asked them for their names...and then what they were doing later. Here at Comic-Con, dreams, for some, do come true.

The film is scheduled for a Spring 2009 release.

I guess I'm sold on this one just because of the cast. It apparently used to have a different, more interesting director attached.
Whatever. Blunt. Del Toro. Baker. Sign me up.
I agree that the cast is the primary allure here, although the enter enterprise may not be quite so promising.
