That's My "W."

Powerhouse Ryan Adams over at AwardsDaily just posted the trailer for "W." I'm shocked that this trailer is already out. How did this happen? Why am I still waiting for the trailers for "The Reader," "Revolutionary Road," and "Milk" while this project gets the red carpet treatment? Please ponder those questions as you watch the following:

Half Lifetime movie, half campy fun? (Seeing Thandie Newton as Ms. Rice made me chuckle, but it also made me think "....hmmm. That was a bit of inspired casting."

yeahhh....I dunno.

I'm not sure I'm ready to laugh at the last 8 years yet. Am I the only sourpuss?

You are definitely not the only sourpuss, Craig. I don't think the last eight years have been very funny at all, and Stone is trying to present this as some sort of "Everybody-Hates-Bush" comedy.

I'm not quite pissed about this, but I'm pretty appalled.

I'm just surprised at the tone of it. This is certainly not "Nixon" or "JFK." For a long time I thought that the script that's been making the rounds was a red herring. But I was obviously wrong.

And I agree with you both about the last 8 years -- it has been a disastrous administration and who knows when we'll really see the seeds of hate Bush and his accomplices put out there in full bloom.

We'll see. Personally, I think it looks irreverent and wry. A bit of humor might be just the thing; rather than crying about the last eight years.....
